Awards are an external recognition and validation of the services that we provide.  Despite being a small business, we have a great track record, winning the CIR “Business Continuity Strategy Through Partnership” award in 2013, 2014, and 2015.  In winning these awards, we have beaten companies such as Google, the Post Office, Specsavers, BP and VTB Capital.

In 2015, we were also delighted when Helen Molyneux won the award for “Business Continuity Consultant of the Year”.

2015 CIR Business Continuity Awards

We won the “Business Continuity/Resilience Strategy through Partnership” award yet again in 2015, this time with Ark-H Handling.  Ark-H Handling  were our first client to gain BS 25999, and then successfully transitioned to ISO 22301: it is wonderful to see their efforts being rewarded in such a way.  It has been great fun working with Ark-H, and the strength of the relationship is demonstrated by this award.

We were also delighted to see Helen’s individual work recognised with the award for “Consultant of the Year“; referees remarking on her clarity and pragmatism of approach, and “can do” attitude.  Helen has a deep understanding of Business Continuity and ISO 22301, and this is further demonstrated in the number of clients that she has taken through to successful certification.

2014 CIR Business Continuity Awards

We were  delighted to be recognised again at the 2014 CIR Business Continuity Awards, winning the “Business Continuity Strategy Through Partnership” award with Hotel Chocolat.   We were also short-listed for the “Business Continuity Consultant of the Year” award; and two of our clients, Hotel Chocolat and Ark-H Handling, were short-listed for the “Business Continuity Strategy of The Year” award.

It was very fitting that this award was for partnership, as a close working relationship has been absolutely central to the success of the Hotel Chocolat BCM programme so far.  The strength of the relationship derives from Hotel Chocolat’s corporate culture and, in particular, the positive and inclusive attitude towards external subject matter experts.   Hotel Chocolat have always treated us as “part of the team”: successes have been shared, as have any setbacks along the way.

2013 CIR Business Continuity Awards

Cambridge Risk Solutions and MRC Unit The Gambia jointly received the “Business Continuity Strategy Through Partnership” award.  This was a particularly impressive achievement given that the shortlist included both BP and Canary Wharf Group.

The award was in recognition of the significant progress that has been made over the last 12 months to safeguard the vital clinical research that the unit carries out against potential disruptions from numerous sources – natural and man-made.  This involved not only a partnership between the MRC and Cambridge Risk Solutions; but also close working relationships with the emergency services, local authorities, the British High Commission and the Gambian Government.
