Awards are an external recognition and validation of the services that we provide. Despite being a small business, our track record is good, winning the CIR Business Continuity Strategy Through Partnership in both 2013 and 2014, and then again in 2015, jointly with the Medical Research Council The Gambia, Hotel Chocolat and Ark-H Handling respectively. In winning these awards, we have beaten companies such as Google, the Post Office, Specsavers, BP and VTB Capital. We have subsequently been short-listed for the same award in 2016, this time with Quantum Pharmaceuticals.
In 2015, we were also delighted when Helen Molyneux won the award for Business Continuity Consultant of the Year.
2015 CIR Business Continuity Awards
We have been working with Ark-H Handling for 5 years, and it is wonderful to see their efforts being rewarded in such a way. Our first client to gain BS 25999, Ark-H handling have gone on to have a successful transition to ISO 22301. It has been great fun working with Ark-H Handling over the past few years, and the strength of the relationship is demonstrated by the joint Business Continuity/Resilience Strategy through Partnership award.
We were delighted to see Helen’s work in Business Continuity recognised with the award for Consultant of the Year, with referees remarking on her clarity and pragmatism of approach, and ‘can do/will do’ attitude’. Helen has a deep understanding of Business Continuity and ISO 22301, and this is further demonstrated in the number of clients that she has taken through to successful certification.
2014 CIR Business Continuity Awards
We were delighted to be recognised at the 2014 CIR Business Continuity Awards, winning the ‘Business Continuity Strategy Through Partnership’ with Hotel Chocolat. We were also short-listed for the Business Continuity Consultant of the Year, and two clients, Hotel Chocolat and Ark-H Handling were both short-listed for the Business Continuity Strategy of The year.
The award that we won was for partnership, and the close working relationship between client and consultants has been absolutely central to the success of the Hotel Chocolat BC programme so far; much of this derives from Hotel Chocolat’s corporate culture and, in particular, the positive and inclusive attitude towards external subject matter experts. Hotel Chocolat believe that Cambridge Risk Solutions staff are “part of the team”, and always treated us as such: successes have been shared, as have any setbacks along the way.
2013 CIR Business Continuity Awards
Cambridge Risk Solutions and MRC Unit The Gambia jointly received the ‘Business Continuity Strategy Through Partnership’ award in the 2013 CIR Business Continuity Awards. This was a particularly impressive achievement given that the shortlist included both BP and Canary Wharf Group.
The award was in recognition of the significant progress that has been made over the last 12 months to safeguard the vital clinical research that the unit is carrying out against potential disruptions from numerous sources – natural and man-made. This has involved not only a partnership between the MRC and Cambridge Risk Solutions; but also close working relationships with the emergency services, local authorities, the British High Commission and the Gambian Government.
Patrick Roberts of Cambridge Risk Solutions is pictured receiving the award.
